About the event

In this second instalment of the four-part workshop you will learn the most quintessential and iconic tie in Shibari, the Takate Kote (or TK). Everything starts and ends with the TK.

We’ll introduce you to the principles and basic pattern of the two-rope Takate Kote. You will learn about tension, rope flow and versatility of this tie but also about communication, safety and anatomy.

Prerequisites: We’re happy for you to join, even if you haven’t attended the first workshop in this series if you are confident in tying a single column tie.

What to bring: min. 2-3 lengths of Shibari rope (6mm Jute or Hemp rope). Shibari rope is available from various sources. One London source is: https://shibaristore.com

What to wear: Usually people wear comfortable clothing like yoga or dance attire that allows you to move freely. Avoid loose fitting or movement restricting clothes and underwired bras. We don’t object to nudity but please respect other workshop participants’ limits and comfort zones.
